Dr. Mathews - Receives funded research support from Aspect Medical Systems, consultant fees from GE Health Care and is on the Academic Advisory Board for Aspect Medical Systems.

Objective(s):
The participant will be able to: ° Discuss the incidence of awareness during anesthesia; ° Describe the possible consequences of awareness during anesthesia; ° Identify the causes of awareness during anesthesia; ° Develop a strategy for the care of a patient who had previously experienced awareness.
